WHAT ARE THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE WEBSITE PRIVACY PROTECTION AND COOKIES
POLICY ASSUMED BY BWS EXPO PLUS SP. Z O.O.?

This document, which includes the privacy protection and cookie policy applying to all web pages under the domain bws.poznan.pl was drafted and approved by BWS EXPO PLUS Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Suchy Las at ul. Obornicka 51, 62-002 Suchy Las, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the Regional Court Poznań -Nowe Miasto and Wilda in Poznań, VIII Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under the number KRS 0000459272, NIP (taxpuaer identification number): 9721243803, REGON (national business register number) 302409712 (hereinafter “Company”) to:

  • emphasise the particular importance we assign to the matter of protecting the private data of users visiting our Website,
  • provide information concerning the use of cookies in our Website to Users as required by the provisions of the Telecommunications Law of 16 July 2004
    (Journal of Laws 2017.1907, consolidated text), hereinafter “Telecommunications Law”.

The Website’s standards applying to collection and use of user information and information collected through placement of orders for electronic services based on free of charge delivery of newsletters are presented below. Our main objective is to protect the privacy of the Website’s Users at a level at least
matching the standards specified in effective legal regulation, specifically the Personal Data Protection Law of 29 August 1997, hereinafter “Personal Data Protection Law”, as well as the Telecommunications Law.

We also strive to follow legal provisions, specifically those protecting the privacy of website Users.

Simultaneously, we reserve the right to place links on the Website allowing Users to connect to other websites directly. The Company has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy protection and cookies policies assumed by the administrators of said websites.

WHAT USER INFORMATION DOES THE WEBSITE COLLECT AND HOW IS IT USED?

The Website limits collection and use of user information to the necessary minimum required to provide said users with services at the desired level in accordance with art. 18 of the Electronic Services Law. The collection of personal data distinguishes the data required to provide electronic services. Providing other personal data (i.e. data not required to provide electronic services) is not obligatory and is subject to decision of the data subject. Such data is processed by the Company only under consent of the holder.

Please be informed that in certain cases, e.g. free newsletter subscriptions, questionnaires, or order forms, we collect more detailed user information such as email addresses or other personal data (for more information, see the answer to the following question).

We guarantee that all personal data collected by the Website is used mainly for purposes of the Company’s obligations towards its Clients (e.g. news subscriptions). This data is not shared with third parties without the prior express consent to such activity of data subjects or if the obligation to share said data results (shall result) from provisions of the law.

Please keep in mind that, as the administrator of personal data pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Law, the Company can contractually entrust processing of the data collected under the Website to other entities in accordance with art. 31 of the aforementioned law.

HOW DOES THE COMPANY USE THE INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM ORDER FORMS FOR FREE
NEWSLETTERS AND OTHER FORMS AND QUESTIONNAIRES CARRIED OUT UNDER THE
WEBSITE?

The website allows for free-of-charge subscription to electronic newsletters released by the Company, which requires the subscriber to provide an e-mail address in the appropriate form. The data obtained this way is added to the e-mailing list. The e-mail address is required to provide the ordered newsletter to the user.

The contact information of the clients is also used for communication purposes when necessary (e.g. np. w przypadku konieczności potwierdzenia zamówienia). The Website’s users who ordered the newsletter can cancel their subscription at any time. For more information, see the answer to the question: “How to cancel selected services?”.

Other data is used to establish the profiles of the people using the website and subscribing to the newsletter for purposes of customising the content of the Website and newsletters to the needs of the people receiving this information, but it is always processed in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law and Electronic Services Law (for more information, see the answer to the following question).

WHAT IS A COOKIE FILE?

Before we explain, please be informed that the term “cookie” used in this document refers to cookie files and other similar tools discussed in Directive 2009/136/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (privacy protection and electronic communications directive) and art. 173 of the Telecommunications Law.

Cookies are small text files, which are stored on the user’s computer or other mobile device during a visit to a website. The purposes of these files include access to various functions of the given website or confirmation that the given user saw specific content on the given website.

WHY DOES THE COMPANY USE COOKIES IN ITS WEBSITE?

Cookies include those required for the operation of the Website. The cookies in this category are used to provide services like monitoring of service availability. Other cookies are not required for the operation of the Company’s Website, but they make it easier to use. They are used to provide the following options: restoring the last visited image, restoring user session, checking cookies saving for proper operation; setting of the preferred language, currency, font size, and other such properties making the application easier to use.

The Company also employs services of third parties, the lost of which is subject to continuing changes and which use cookies for the following purposes:

  • monitoring traffic on our web pages;
  • collecting anonymous joint statistics providing us with information on how users use our website to continuously improve our products;
  • establishing the number of anonymous users of our web pages.
  • The following is required for analysis of how the Company’s website is used;
    • monitoring of how frequency selected content is shown to users;
    • monitoring of how often users choose a given service;
    • monitoring of newsletter subscriptions;
    • using the personalised recommendation system for e-commerce purposes;
    • using communication tools;
    • social media integration;

The User can manage the cookies used by the Company or any other external provider by changing browser settings.

HOW DOES THE COMPANY PROTECT THE PRIVACY OF PEOPLE WITHOUT FULL LEGAL
CAPACITY?

The Website does not collect, monitor, or verify any information concerning the age of its visitors or other people to establish whether the User (including the recipient and user of e-mailing lists or participant of questionnaires) has full legal capacity.

WHAT KIND OF SECURITY MEASURES DOES THE COMPANY APPLY?

The Website is equipped with security measures aimed to protect the data under our control from loss, inappropriate use, or modification. We undertake to protect all information received from our Clients in accordance with security and confidentiality standards.

The right to access the personal data of the Website’s users is strongly restricted to prevent said data from falling into the hands of unauthorised individuals. Access to personal data is restricted to a limited number of the Company’s employees in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and the regulations made thereunder.

The Company’s Website allows the Users to cancel the newsletters received from the Company. The Website allows the Users to remove their personal data from our database and stop receiving e-mail information, which can be done by following the instructions attached to the content of the messages received from us.

IS THE PRIVACY PROTECTION POLICY SUBJECT TO CHANGES?

The development of our Website, technological progress, and amendments to provisions of the law may force the need or even legal obligation to introduce changes to the currently effective privacy protection policy. In the event of such changes, we will inform the Website Users of them immediately under the “Privacy Protection Policy” tab.
